About bike clearance
We take care of the entire process to clear your property from abandoned bikes. We distribute information to residents, including tagging so everyone can mark the bikes in use. About one week before the bike clearance, we also distribute a reminder letter. We remove all bikes (even locked ones) and transport them to your or our storage. The bikes are stored for at least six months so any owner can retrieve their bike before it is recycled.
How does it work?
We calculate a cost based on the location of the property and the number of apartments/spaces to be notified.
In consultation, we determine a date for the bike clearance. About one month before the scheduled date, we distribute an information letter (with a tagging). We set up baskets with extra tags in the bike rooms. The letter states that residents should mark the bikes in use and that unmarked bikes will be collected. We put up notices about the clearance on bike room doors and bike racks. About one week before the bike clearance, we also distribute a reminder letter. On the day of clearance, we collect unmarked bikes (even locked ones) and transport them to the agreed storage space (yours or ours).
All bikes are documented and stored for at least 6 months
Bikes are documented when they are moved from the property. The bikes are stored for at least six months before being recycled. During the storage period, owners of the bikes have the opportunity to retrieve them before they are recycled. Owners of a collected bike contact us, and we manage the return. Owners can retrieve the bikes at our premises located at Maria Prästgårdsgata 14 in Södermalm.
